When Things Seems Jacked Up! As I think about a few things that have and are transpiring in my life, I immediately remind myself that there are times when things are just “Jacked Up”. I can’t talk about you and your experiences, but I can tell you first hand based on what I have and I am experiencing. I am reaching to fulfill the calling that God has placed on my life and there are those that I’ve trusted for support. The issue is, those trusted are those hindering!! I was recently shocked to find out that one such individual flat out lied to a group of people, just a few days ago, stating that he had a talk with my Pastor in the city where I was raised. The Problem? My Home Pastor was my late uncle Dr. C. A. Berry who made his transition on January 1, 2001. Based on that fact alone, the individual lied; anyone spoken to or anything heard was based on heresies obtained from people who did not know but assumed. Then there are those who are related to me that gave information, that they thought was factual, to a mentor. The Problem? These relatives barely associated with me in nearly twelve years and told what they assumed was a full story given by half of a party. Neither situation destroyed me, but presented another rung on the latter to my success! I just want you  to know that there are times when things seems Jacked Up! However, it is those JACKED UP moments when you find out that the prayers you’ve been sending up have built an SPIRITUALLY FORTIFIED FENCE around you to protect you from your enemies. Not the enemies of those outside of your circle, but from those that are family and friends. Those that are supposedly saved, sanctified and filled with the Spirit of God. WAIT!!!!!! The Sanctified are those that are set aside for Holy Service, right? What’s Holy about running down and lying and those who have done you know harm. I hear you, you are simply trying to help others to know the person they are dealing with. What’s Jacked Up is, they never mention that they are unaware of the truth and this is what they heard. It is never mentioned that the individual lying is only working on Brownie Points. The question then is, How do you handle Jacked up situations? Pray! God knows the truth and reveal the enemy and highlight the truth in your favor. I don’t know who I am speaking to, but I encourage you not to faint when things seems Jacked Up. God has you in His Sight and hold your path in His Hands! Dr. James L. Ray, Sr. Ph.D
